crash on preferences under Vista

    Hi,
    When I choose Preferences from the menu, I've got an unknown exception (0xc0000409) on Vista.
    Can you confirm please ?
    If not, any hint to fix this issue ?

      Hey guys,

      I don't know if you're having the same problem as I was (crashing when attempting to view properties), but I solved it by right-clicking on the exe and choosing Properties\Compatibility and UN-checking the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" check box. I had it set to Windows XP(SP2). As soon as I unchecked that, I now get the Properties dialog.

        Hi there,

        It's happening to me as well: trying to open Preferences always crashes the program.

        (The only way to get rid of the auto-updater issue was to uninstall NPP and then reinstall it without the auto-updater.)

        Any info about this?
