I love notepad++ but the lack of one feature consistently irks me. It need highlighting for searched text or an option to highlight all, much like in firefox. The current method of marking lines with a little yellow circle is less then ideal when search log files or code with long lines.

Did you try Search - Mark all (Ctrl+M)?
Check "style token" in the CTRL+F Find dialog and Find All.
