Just do a find (regular expression) and search for things like :

What are you trying to search for? Literal dots can be entered by \.
Otherwise, searching for .* will always match, because it looks for any character occurring 0 or more times...
Perhaps you mean to search for: ^\.+[^\.]\.+$
This will look for any line starting with one or more dots, then any text not containing any dot and ending with one or more dots.
