For those of you who are missing the standard Ctrl+INS, Shift+INS and Shift+DEL keyboard shortcuts in the new Notepad++ 4.8 I put together this tiny plugin (source code in Oberon is included). It registers the shortcuts with Scintilla on startup.
Also take a look at the About dialog box (Plugins - NppShiftIns - About...).
