I think Explorer.dll should also be removed from the package. Every time I include it in the plugin folder, it continuously leaks handles. And I'm not even browsing anything with it. Right now, it's at 1200 handles, and Notepad++ was open for couple of hours only.

I'm using the 1.7.2 with the latest Notepad++. I removed all the other plugins except Explorer.dll. This is on Win2K3. After removing the plugins the handles are leaked slower, however they still increase. For instance, now it's 500 handles with only 3 files open and the Explorer sidebar. Not sure if that's normal, but seems a lot more handles compared to other programs.

No, it's not normal.
I played around 2 minutes to close/open Eplorer plugin. The number of handle increased from 260 to 500,
then it makes Notepad++ crash.

I've also a problem with this version. When I drag and drop several text files (4 text files) to the npp icon to open them, the program instantaneously crashes.

The new red close tab Xs are great, except they only change state on mouseOver OR mouseOut. they fail to revert back to the original color when the mouse is moved off. minor, but worth mentioning.
btw, i've been replacing scilexer.dll in every np++ version after install and was excited to see it finally updated, i hope it gets fixed instead of regressed :).

Due to the serious blue screen crash problem in GUP, which comes with Notepad++,
the v4.8 is removed from sourceforge.
The fixed version (v4.8.1) is planned to be released in 3 days.

Can you describe it in more detail? What do you mean with "it continuously leaks handles"? Did you tried 1.7.2?
Best Regards

I confirm that.

addon:
Vista 64- problem with russian & Ukrainian lang.
Windows XP - problem with russian keyboard layout. The reason is updated SciLexer.dll.
I've also a problem with this version. When I drag and drop several text files (4 text files) to the npp icon to open them, the program instantaneously crashes.
It restarts my PC when opening files with no extension i.e. README, CHANGELOG, etc

It seems also that there is a problem with the offset in go to line dialog box: nothing seems to be working.
