start->run->notepad

    Hi this is a feature I use a lot, and I'm used to notepad's functionality of opening up a blank window for me to type random notes into, however if I do this with notepad++ then it just opens up the existing instance of notepad++ without opening a new tab... Is there any way I can have it open another tab when I do this or will I have to go back to regular notepad? :(

      I'm curious as to why you would do it this way?  If you don't have Notepad++ open already, then starting it will automatically open a new tab.  If you do have it open, you could just use File->New or even CTRL-N, both of which take less effort than using the Run dialog on the Start menu.

      -double click on empty tabbar open up a new blank doc
