I do a lot of text concordances using Simple Concordance Program and blessed Notepad + + . I want to branch out to Greek, but am having trouble getting "squares" for Greek letters with vowel-signs/diacritical-marks. What need I do to get the properly accented Greek vowels?
Please do not tell me the answer in hard-core "Geeky" language; I am pretty green to such discussion, and do my best to maneuver with Notepad + + in doing English texts and Latin "with a minimum of the hard stuff" as my guide.

You need a font that has such characters, that is, a font with polytonic Greek. In Notepad++, go to Settings, Style Configurator, Font style, and start scrolling until you find one. (The view in Notepad++ is updated in real time.)

The first one has just Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic. The second supportes some other scripts as well.
