      Hi Perker,

Which versions of RkWard and Ubuntu are you using? The R Console window should show right-justification properly. The only issue that I currently see is in the "Command log" window where it looks centered and the numbers in the two lines do not align properly. I remember Thomas had implemented the fixed spacing fonts! But the fixed font is not used in Command log window at all!

      Regards

Hm, acutally, I just found out that we do not set a fixed font in the Console after all. It seems like there simply is no way to force the katepart to use a monospaced font (programmatically), at least none that I could find.

To set up a fixed font, do the following (rather counter-intuitive, I admit): Select File->New->Script File. Now select Settings->Configure Editor. Under "Fonts & Colors"->Fonts select your favorite monospaced font. The font will apply to both script files, and the R Console window.

Regarding the command log: I did (try to) make sure a fixed spaced font it always used there (the one you configured as fixed width font in KDE's control center. It works, here. Could you make sure you actually have set a monospace font as "fixed with font" in KDE?

@Thomas, regarding command log: Hmm, looks like a bug then. I do have fixed font defined in KDE, but command log does not seem to use it. Kindly look at this picture:
        http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/922641_vd8en/nsole_Cmdlog_FixedFont_Issue.png
The above picture is for RkWard 0.4.9 compiled on RHEL 5.1 with R 2.5 and installed in $HOME/.kde. I do have a similar problem on my home machine (Kubuntu 7.10: R 2.5 + RkWard 0.4.9) where RkWard is installed system wide. BTW, this is not a burning issue, command log is very much useable without fixed-spacing fonts. Where it is important is - Editor, Console, and Object viewer uses fixed spacing font - great job.

@Perker, I am not sure how Gnome's font manager works, but Thomas's suggestion (Configure Editor > Fonts & Colors > Font, then select a fixed spacing font) should have worked! Or is it a problem with the locale (Chinese) that you have? You can try (may be just for once) to change you locale and and language to English and see of the problem persists.
