Glad to meet u all. I am a textpad user for quite a long period. I am impressed with Notepad++, but some features really makes me favour textpad rather than Notepad++. If these features are implemented in Notepad++, then its going to be the best user friendly text editor.
1. In textpad we can select a certain part of the text in block mode (nothing but column selection) and can align only that part of the text by pressing the TAB key or (shift + tab). This feature is one of the nice feature in textpad which is missing here.
2. Similarly in block selection mode we are not able to select beyond the end of line. It will be good if Notepad++ provides that option too.
Just from yesterday I stared using notepad++, Hats off the to the developer, Its seems good except some unexpected crashes of Notepad++ v4.7.5. I ll come up with some more developer friendly features...
Thanks & Regards,
Gopu.S

Wow, you are a good judge if you just started using N++ yesterday... Obviously it is not the best user friendly text editor right now. Perhaps you should read the forum first to get a better feeling about more (or the same) things that other users miss or want.
Can you tell me why you put 3 !'s at the end of the subject? Is this so very important to you? I suggest you keep using Textpad, because it still better suits your needs right now.

I love notepad++. But I agree with its idea. It could be so good if it was easily possible to align text with column mode insert and just clicking on tab especially for those who are making microelectronic design (vhdl and verilog) and may be for some others...
Thanks

Is TextFX/TextFX Edit/Line up multiple lines by clipboard character of any use to you?
