Several times I've used Find/Replace to make changes in my file, then tried to open the file outside of NotePad++ and it was empty. The file was still displayed correctly in Notepad++ (I hadn't closed it), so I had to make a change and resave it to get the file back.
Is this a known bug? I didn't see it in the bug tracker.

I can't reproduce this error.
I changed a file and saved it.
Then I could open the file with several other editors.

Did you save the files after changing? The Find/Replace Dialog doesn't do this for you.
Yes I saved the file. Everything looked fine in Notepad++, but the file was empty.
