I wouldn't use NotePadd++ without the Explorer Plugin.

    but...

When I open a file in Explorer with Notepad++ the sub directories in the explorer plugin are loading very very slow.

When I use Crimson Editor or PSP, immediately all directories are shown.

Isn't it possible to load the directories quicker at startup?

Jens, can you update sources of the Explorer plugin to VC++ 2005? When I try to build it in VC++ 2005 Express, it gives me a lot of unminded errors regarding STL types discrepancy.

I don't belive that it is slow. When I remember correctly, PSP don't go to the latest used folder. If you don't like this feature I can provide you an special check box in settings.

The letency to view the files and directories in the bottom window on mouse click on top winodow is deliberately.

      Best Regards
      Jens

      Dear Jens,

I just tried it again in PSP, PSP go to the latest used folder.
Crimson Editor doesn't go to the last used directory but in one seconds opens the whole root.
Explorer Plugin needs more then 5 seconds to open my D root.

May'be you can give us also the possibility to open explorer in the favorites view.
