Is there any way we can make N++ only indent the next line to the previous indentation when it is the next line after the indentation???!!!
That's what SciTE does, and it's a lot better.
It would also be nice if, when you are at the beginning of a line, when you hit Backspace, it performs a BackTab unindent instead of a single space deletion. That's what SciTE did, too.
If there isn't a way to make it do that, why not?
Have you digressed from the original code, or libraries, to the point where there is no comparison to N++ and Scintilla/SciTE now? (are you not getting updates?)

It's the default behaviour in Notepad++, maybe you just disabled it without your knowledge?

Notepad++ has nothing to do with SciTE, though the both projects use Scitilla project as their component.
SciTE is also a great project, I encourage you to use it rather than Notepad++.

In your original post, it is not so much the content that elicited the response you got, but rather the delivery. You came across as pretty critical and judgmental. Taking a second to reread a pending post, before hitting the submit button, often gives one another chance to digest what it is they're typing, and how others might receive same. If there is ANY chance that someone else might misinterpret what it is your saying, then simply stop and re-word it, or don't submit and revisit it later, when in a different frame of mind.
I respectfully suggest that you take a step back from this, swallow the pride, and try to be a bit more objective in the execution of your posting.
Let your actions herein live up to your 'handle' ("Do Good'er"), not the stench of the arse-end of one of our four-legged friends, please...

So it seems. So there are two choise: use SciTE or upgrade Notepad++'s SciTE code. Which of those would like to do?
