I've ALWAYS used notepad++ for web development, no I can't use windows and really need it to work... I can emulate it with wine, but wonder if there is any version for Linux, since notepad++ is GNU proyect... OMG ! I want notepad++ for Linux systems !
Thanks !

Just kidding; really it makes about a trillion and three. Try searching the forums for "Linux" and you'll see that this has been requested about a trillion times already, and the answer is always the same: It's way too complex at this stage to go back and rewrite it cross-platform. So unless you're willing to do the programming yourself, it won't happen.
For future reference, make sure you search the forums before asking questions. You got lucky on this thread; you were just treated to a little sarcasm. I've seen posters get downright vicious when people ask questions that have already been asked over and over again.
(And by the way, I really would like to see it on Linux, but I'm resigned to the fact that it can never be)

Not exactly.
What I want to do is modify Notepad++ project slightly to compile it natively under Linux with winelib.
And someones who have experience with winelib are welcome to contact me to do that.
Otherwise porting Notepad++ project with gtk/wxwidget/qt to other platforms is pointless to me.
It's about rewriting Notepad++ project (which takes me 4 years of my full vacant time), and believe me, I know what I'm saying since I've done a project (on my job) by using wxwidget.

Mmm, this is interesting. You are the first one to ask for this. You seem even demanding.
Perhaps you could just as well ask for a Windows machine?
I would also love to see Notepad++ for Linux. That makes two.

Me too. That makes three.
