Make sure that Setting/Preferences/Global has "reduce" ticked and "enable close button on each tab" is unticked, although I think these are the default.
You might want to investigate the control+tab and control+shift+tab menus and alt+w or alt+ww as alternative methods of selecting tabs. You could also use the -multiInst command line parameter to start a second session to get more tab space, but that might not be very convenient.

Is there a way to resize these or even make a new line of tabs. I have searched but found no answers.
It would be great not to have to use the scroll tabs buttones for the sake of 1 or 2 extra documents.
