I cannot switch to N++ unless its window is maximzed. The only way to do so is to right click on N++ icon's in the taskbar and select "maximize". alt-tab does not work. Is it an application setting or a problem ?
Thanks !

i have win2k. If i open a Dialog in n++ (e.g. Settings / Shortcut Mapper...) and switch 2 times between an Application and n++, then n++ does not appear in the alt-tab-dialog.

I have this same problem running version 3.7 on Windows XP SP2. When I run it maximized, I have no problems, if I hit the "unmaximize" button in the control box (top-right corner), N++ disappears, and I can't switch to it. The only way to get it back (as the OP pointed out) is to right-click on the N++ item in the taskbar and re-maximize it.

I figured out how to resolve it.
Right click on task bar to "Size" it.
Use your arrow key up/down/sideways. Move your mouse and you will eventually find it.
Then click the Window Menu on the upper Left and Size again with the mouse.
Thanks dude... fixed it

I just noticed that 3.8 is out, so I uninstalled 3.7, rebooted, then installed 3.8, and the problem does not exist any more.
Yay!
I have the same problem but with 3.8.0. I can't find where the window memory sizes are in the registry to fix this very annoying problem!
