And others, like \t. They work in SciTE. Would you have to programmatically support it, or did you turn it off? I do a lot of text formatting, and it's a pain to not have it. It doesn't seem like a big thing to support.

It is not a big thing to support. In fact, it's even easier than searching this forum for similar questions about it. You should try it!

Doesn't seem to me like a big thing for you to submit a patch to support it either then.

Maybe someone could reply who actually knows something and doesn't just have too much free time on their hands.

Perhaps someone should read the forums more and check that this topic hasn't been covered before, many times.

How come he didn't think of (or simply understand) that?

Somewhere else this very same person states:

I second your remark and 'd say to him: "Dig into it. Perhaps you may improve you own speed of understanding things." He sure does bring some joy to the forum.

It would be great if you, or anyone, could fix this.  But I was under the impression that there was some technical problem with implementing it, hence http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/FindReplaceNewlineHowTo .

A "master/professional C programmer" like you, I'm sure that it won't be a big thing for you to add this feature.
And I'll love to integrate your improvement in the future release.
