UltraEdit has a very nice feature that I'd really like to see in N++. It is called "Option (default) to automatically find selected text with find Next/Prev". This means that it is possible to select a word, then press F3 and search for that selected word (or piece of text) without opening the Find dialog. This is a very quick way of looking up a word, say a function when programming.
Could you consider adding this option?
Thanks for the great software,
Johan

NP++ has it, too.
Use "Find in all opened documents".

Hi
I think that you are dealing with volatile search the np++ shortcut is CTRL+F3 but you could change it to F3 if you prefer
