It seems there is a bug, or annoyance with notepad not allowing users to use there own file extensions from what I found searching.
I want to use the .lzx extension and NotePad is forcing the .txt extension no matter what I try to do lol
I could not sift threw the current threads and find a fix for this situation, is there a fix for this or a version of notepad I can downgrade to till the problem is fixed?

From what I have read and understand you are the main developer of NotePad++? I like it very much! After a recent re install of windows this was one of the first programs I reinstalled!
So as I understand you it sounds like I need to simply wait a few days for the next version, so nice to hear and great support!

This behaviour will be improved in the next version which will be release this weekend.
