Remember that the current column is displayed at the bottom of the window, but I guess in your case you want this because you're editing a very wide file?
Other options:
- if you always want to go to a particular column, you could record a macro.
- if you always want to go to a particular column, you could set the "vertical edge setting". That will display a vertical line in the column you specify, making it easier to find manually. It's in Settings/Preferences/Edit Components.

I need that beause I am editing input file and I need to go quickly to different columns like 329,1445 etc.
So I cannot use vertical edge settins as I didn't get how to add more than one column set up.
And I do not know how to set set up such macro. Besides I have to use portable version of Notepad++ because I cannot install the program. But it is a good idea to use macro though. hm but what if you need more and more different columns in the future?
thank you

Hi,
is there any function like CTRL+G but for a column?
if not is out there any free editor that has got such feature?
Thank you.
R.
I don't think so, but I could be wrong. There's a list of shortcut keys at http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm, but more may have been added since that was written.
