Hi there guys, love the program. We use it at work all the time and I'm constantly having to copy text over from a Word document into a plain text document. Each time I do this, I have to replace Word's "smart" characters (slanted quotes, em dashes, etc.). It's easy enough for me to batch search and replace in all of my .txt files, but I'd like to be able to get this into a macro so I can just press one button and the program searches through all of my open files and finds every one of Word's smart characters, replacing them with regular text. I've tried to macro record my actions but it doesn't seem to recognize it because there's no save action after I do it. Any idea if there is a way to do this?
