I have found a bug where by Notepad++ 4.3 will crash when trying to double click or file-open a .txt file that has no modified date. If I then open this file in normal notepad and resave the file, Notepad++ with then open the file!
Woudl be great if you could fix this issue!

I've been having a similar problem lately. I'm using jZip to decompress archives, and it seems to have a bug: it gives extracted files strange creation & modification dates like March 18, 28899 or May 08, 1622. I've found that NP++ crashes on opening files with dates such as these.
My solution was to stop using jZip and switch to WinRar, and for any files that crashed NP++, I just changed their mod and creation dates using Ninotech Date Edit 4.0
But, I hope that this behavior in NP++ can be rectified.

How do you create a file with no modification date? What operating system are you using?
