Notepad++ is a free source code editor (and Notepad replacement),
I would like to use Notepad++, but not at the expense of losing my current version of Notepad Editor. If I download and install Notepad++ will it overwrite the Notepad Editor that came with my computer?

Notepad replacement in the meaning that you can tell the system to open sertain file types wth NP++, which you opened with Notepad by default. It also can be used as default html-viewer in IE etc, but all this features are configurable.

The Notepad++ folks should consider putting on their website that Notepad++ will not overwrite or remove the existing Notepad editor, so as to avoid confusion.
-- Notepad replacement -- to me means that it will replace your current Notepad editor.
Thanks.
