I have tried this version 1.2 of SpellChecker. It work very well from usb and from hard disk.
I have put into hard disk npp in 'C:\Programs\Notepad++' and Aspell installed dictionary in
'C:\Programs\Notepad++\Aspell' so I have write the exact path in dialog box of Your SpellChecker:
'C:\Programs\Notepad++\Aspell\bin' but this build do not write this path in spellchecker.ini (even if I
edit it).
I think Spellchecker 1.2 do not support long pathnames. Do You can make a new build for resolve this problem?
Thank You

Congratulations Jens, now I can use the spell checker without the usually batch job on my usb-stick. This was a long awaited feature for mass storages.
Thanks a lot!

I think I stumbled on a bug in the new SpellChecker 1.2. Using it with the Greek dictionary from Evripidis Papakostas <evris_at_source_dot_gr> (0.50.3.3)
in Windows and greek text in normal ANSI encoding (DOS/Windows), the spelling checker fails to identify the Greek characters all together and the spelling checker window appears empty with spelling check finished (even with deliberate errors included). If I switch to UTF-8 encoding, the spelling checker identifies the text correctly but if I try to replace misspelled words, I get illegible garbage entered. If I revert to SpellChecker 1.1 situation is corrected...
If you want to try, here is some Greek:
> "this is a test" translated
> "αυτή είναι μια δοκιμή" spelled correctly
> "αυτύ είναι μια δοκιμύ" spelled erroneously
Thanks

C:\Programs\Notepad++\Aspell\bin is the absolute path. You need to add the relative path. So be sure to write "\Aspell\bin" in your case!
