    Hello,

thank you for your nice editor !
I am using a lot the "find in files" function, but each time I have to replace the filter name because my files extensions are not the default ones, as well as the folder name I have to choose again. Is it be possible to put the last used filter and pathname in the dialog instead of the default ones ?

    Thank you
    Julien

      Bump! :-)

Is there a solution yet to remember the last directory? I use "Find in files" a lot to browse my CDs (.txt files on a different partition) and each time I have to manually change the default directory (C:\Program Files\Notepad++).

And I have the same request.
Just updated from 3.8 (or maybe 3.9) to 4.1.2 where the find in files is changed. Some things are better but I must say that the filter selection is worse (or maybe I'm doing something wrong). Previously the filter was in relation of the open file, like when you open a .cpp file, it would look in the .cpp files and headers. But now it will go default to a search in all files, and the filter isn't remembered.

In the latest beta of the 4.2 release, the file filter list is back to a list of those extensions associated with the selected file types.

Hi! I'm quite pleased with how the find in files work now in version 4.3. The only problem I have is that it doesn't remember my last used filters and directories across Notepad++ restarts. That would finally make Notepad++ the only needed tool for doing find in files searches.

One extra feature (that's not extremely important though) is to progressively show the findings, and not only after the search has finished. That would make Notepad++ useful even when searching large code directories.

        Great product anyway! Thanks.
