Language sensitive tab stops.

Is it possible to define the tab stop settings on a language basis?

For example, a “.php” could have a 4 for tabs. While a “.asm” could have an 8.

I found the “global” Tab Setting in the preferences dialog, but I was thinking of something “local” to each open file depending on language type.
