I apologize if this has been covered but I simply want to use the 'compare' plugin to compare two files so I load the first file in a tab, then the second one in another tab, open a third tab a type 'alt-d' for compare.
What am I missing? There wasn't a help file with the plugin.
Thanks,
Nick

You might have to create a separate view ("panel") for the second file. Also look here:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1811023&forum_id=331753
I see.... the whole thing with panels was very different. I was trying to use 'File -> New' (tab) not 'Clone view etc.'
Thanks for the tips!
Nick
Sounds like what you are missing is a help file with the plugin. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
You might try the Discussion Forum for the Compare plugin:
