In version 3.8, and 3.9, I can't shut off the Autoclose {([Brace feature.

I don't even have it checked in the TextFX Plugins menu.

I've also uninstalled and reinstalled (without checking the feature), to no avail.

Any ideas?

  i had the same issue.. you can turn it off by doing this:
  go to Plugins -> ConvertExt... -> Options
  
  there you see: "Brackleds Autocompletion".. disable it and your done.

  Did you use the new plugin of Vitaly (ConvertEx)?
  Here you could also enable/disable autoclose.
