I've only looked at this this past week and discovered that it doesn't show all the files on my drives.
System is Win2K SP4.
I was looking for specific files in my scripts folder under My Documents. Some files were not shown but were in Explorer. I couldn't see any pattern, just random missing files. Out of 100 files only about 4 were missing. Very odd.

I have found a workaround for the files not showing up in light explorer 1.4.
If you go to the properties of the folder that you are trying to access and set the file attribute to ARCHIVE, you can then see your files in light explorer.
I have found that this mostly happens for all of my mapped drives.
I hope this can get fixed in the next release.
Thanks!

Just to add that directories begining by a dot are not not shown in light explorer. I am using npp 4.8.1 + ligth explorer 1.4 under windows xp SP2. Explorer plugin is not installed.

I am working on Explorer 1.5.1... Maybe you can find all your files again in next Notepad installation ;)
Best Regards

Looking forward to new Explorer, hope the icon redraws is sorted ;-)
