I'm so happy with the latet notepad++! And thank you, Don, for adding the .tex support in the Open File dialog.
One more wonderful feature to have would be a way to set the main file. That we, even if I have other files open, if I run something from the Run menu (particularly if I run external tools) or the NppExec console, it will always operate on the main file, until I change it to something else or deselect it. This feature would be even more effective if it has its own buttons for select and deselect.
(This is actually something standard in WinEdt that I sorely miss.)

I haven't used this Run feature so far, but it seems you thought about it, that is, you must have experienced not running the intended file on a number of occasions.
