Would like to see the ability to set the default file type to save to. Presently if you open a blank page you have to manually type the extension because the Save as Type is set to all files.

I guess this should really be tied into:
The Language menu and
Settings > Preferences > New Document > Default Language
So what ever your current language you have selected then it should set that to the file type on the Save and Save As... dialogs.
