After reviewing a dozen editors for PHP I was thrilled to find Notepad++ which seems to do almost everything I'd like (just wish there were some build in dark/reverse color schemes, though I found the ruby blue and might be able to modify it a bit)
My last issue with it is how the text is slammed right up against the vertical folding bar on the left. Is there any way to hack the config so there is a tiny space before the text starts? I know this sounds completely trivial but it drives my brain crazy for some reason. Since I can't make the folding bar completely dark, it's always a white-ish blur against the first characters of each line.
