I've noticed that if you save an existing file with a new name, you can no longer open the file with the old file name, as notepad++ thinks it's already open.
How to duplicate this error:
1. You open file example1.html
2. Save open file as example2.html
3. Try to open file example1.html
I'm using the v4.1.2 on available windows XP SP2. My apologies if this isn't the forum for posting these bugs. I'm not used to sourceforge, and didn't see any bug reporting mechanism accessible to me.

Just tested. I can open the old file with the old name.
