I been trying to figure out how to find/grep for something and getting the result
shown in a new tab...Does this function alrady exist ? if yes, how to do it ?

If the answer to the question Jens asked is "files in folders", the Find-in-files function in 4.1.2 creates a separate docked window with the find results. These can be copied and pasted into a new tab.
You can probably also run an external tool like grep via the "Run > Run..." menuitem. --Joel
