It would be handy to have a flag to allow notepad++ to minimize on the last document close.

  So, when I close the last document and I would normally notice I can close NP++, I have to open NP++ from the taskbar and then close it?

nobody(2): this feature is useful if you *don't* want to close NP++, just hide it. If you want to close it after closing the last doc, you would not enable the option.
