You can reenable this feature in the context menu of the Variables view. The reason why it is now turned off by default is that it is incredibly slow in general. It forces EPIC to retrieve values of ALL variables in the program on each suspend. 0.6.x normally only retrieves values of the visible variables.

From version 0.6 on showing background color (yellow) when values change doesn't work any more. Is that intended? I find this feature very useful.
