Notepad ++ is the best notepad editor with fantastic functions.
but it is always have bad works at its speed.
It seriously affect the feeling of using.
In notepad++ 4.1.2
1.Functin List Plugin. it slowly, especially when editing file, it automatically re-caculate function list.
2.Find in Files is very slowly, when it work , it seems it crashed.
3.Find. when I find a string in a file with 20,000 lines, it too slowly.....but i test it in Programmer notepad, it is so faster than notepad++.
I love to use notepad++ , so , please improve speed of each function of notepad++.

Notepad++ don't uses Boost. It use the build in search of Scintilla. Maybe this is the reason the the big performance gap. Same to Function List. But my plan is to change this in near future.
BTW: There will be an Alpha candidate at the next week with new features. But I promise you, if the users want to have all this new features, there will be an additional performance loss.

BTW:
I roughly glance at PN's code, it seems it use BoyerMoore algorithym in Find & Find in files.
I have a plan to read the codes of Notepad++ and programmer's notepad. Hope, one day, I can participate in development of Notepad++ or its plugins to improve my favor editor.^_^
