AFAIK, wine is available under MacOSX (which is based on FreeBSD). So install wine to run Notepad++. (is anyone in here tried it out ?)
For the moment, I'm looking for a solution to adapt Notepad++ to the other platform by using winelib library to compile Notepad++ natively.
If anyone has experience about it, please contact me to help.

I know a little bit textmate, but I havent had my MAC for the
lat two months.
My OS right now is Linux mint, Im running e-texteditor using WINE for
compatibility with textmate bundles… and of course Notepad++
I have been customizing Notepad++ using QuickText and created
some basic "bundles"… that help me a lot for creating my websites…
Then, my Notepad++ has a lot of advantages over Textmate / e-TextEditor.
The only improvement I need is a better QuickText plugin
to create "bundles" Textmate style….
And of course when my Mac comes back Im going to install WINE and
run Notepad++ on it.

QuickText is a separate Sourceforge project. You can ask on their help forum how o create such "bundles", or whether the new functionality could be added to the plugin.
One thing though: isn't it possible to edit the .ini file to make one or more bundles from it? I have no idea what they look like.

A lot of recent development at scintilla.org has been towards better Cocoa integration. Notepad++ is definitely not going to become an OSX app, but SciTE might.

Or on the new macs be a real man and run Windows. ;-)
(jk: macosx baiting).
Or actually a better alternative is to run Linux (I have tested this under Ubuntu 7.10) and run it under Wine.
It runs sweet as a belle for me.
I agree- i am in the same boat - in fact, that why I am in the forum today to see if anyone else loves N++, but also has a mac..
smultron is an ok substitute, but i agree that it'd be awesome to have notepad++ for mac!
