I'm a newbie to using NP++ having previously used PsPad.
When I start up NP++ I see an odd flicker on the screen that looks to be like a title bar or something that quickly appears and disappears 2 times. This always occurs on the left-hand side of the screen about 20% of the way down from the top.
Is this normal? Is it something I can get rid of?

This is normal. It depends on docking machanism. I tried several things to get rid of, but with no success.
