In UTF-8/UC2 Text File,
Chinese char can be display but cannot be search correctly.
1) when high-light the chinese char and press Ctrl+F, error coding display in 'Find' text box.
2) when input a Chinese char in 'Find' text box, no words can be found out even same words exist.
For ASCII Text File,
Chinese char can be both display and search correctly.

There are troubles with all characters, not just with chinese or say arabic characters : in an UTF-8 text file, search fails most of the time, even when searching for a signle ansi character.
I've noticed this bug for a long time ago (about one year, but I was not able to find the post I've made at this time)

About this UTF-8/UC2 search problem, do you use MustDie98 as your operational system?
Because several people from China and Poland told me the searching is OK for them under 2000 and XP.

Chris Severance, many thanks to you :) Indeed, the Ctrl+R command works fine :)
That's strange... I had not noticed the TextFX menu before... shame on me.
Why not simply substitute the Ctrl+F command with the Ctr+R one ? This would be the simpliest and the best solution...
Any way, thanks again Chris Severance, you've saved me

The Ctrl+R dialog by the TextFX plugin is unicode ready.
