Some of the predefinited languages offer the possibility of adding additional keyword in certain categories (e.g. Matlab... I'm an heavy Matlab user and so fare Scintilla and jEdit are the only 2 editors I could find that handle the ').

However it seems to me that there is a limitation of 256 characters for the list of additional keywords...and unfortunately I have way more than that.
Is this a NPP limitation or Scintilla? I would like to see this enlarged significantly, if possible.

  I am not sure but try to edit xml file C:\Program Files\Notepad++\langs.xml to add your keyword It may be working

  I did try editing langs.xml and it does work.
  However, that file is overwritten by installs and upgrades and the changes get lost... that's what actually happened to me.
  I therefore recurred to using the styler dialog box... that saves the changes in a user xml file.
  Such a short list seems a little artificial and definitively limiting.
