    Hi,
I'm look for a dark theme for version 4.0.2, but the ruby blue theme doesn't seem to work in this recent version, i have the fonts instaled, i've already replaced the stylers.xml file and when i open notepad++ colors remains the same.
Can any one help me with this please?
    Best regards,
    Bruno

I have the same problem. But when I download a npp in zip file (not installer) unpack in separate folder. Then I put ruby blu styler.xml to new npp folder - and it's OK. I think that this problem appear when you install npp in language not English.

      Sorry for my bad English.

Is there a way to get this to work with 4.1? I love the blue highlighting, easier on the eyes, and would like to get this working again. Any ideas?

PEOPLE! there settings are not kept in the same folder as app! go to Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Notepad++ or somewhere there...

In order to stop future headaches, why not put this information with the download in a readme file or on the website where you download it from:

            To install:

Extract, Copy XML, paste into documents and settings/user/app data/n++/

Thanks for the reply, although your acting like such was completely unnecessary. Is this the type of support I can expect from the people behind this application? Sounds like firefox support.

yup, u are right... i overreacted... sorry... it's just everybody still asks the same questions over & over again and don't even bother to use the search feature...

nope, i'm not involved in developing npp (although i'd would like to if i had anytime left - 5 month child & stuff), i'm just a guy who helps the dev team by replying to those * questions ;)

To change the theme you must overwrite the stylers.xml file in your appdata folder, not the actual Notepad++ installation directory.  In some ways you can access this using a browser and going to c > Documents and Settings > user > appdata > Notepad++

Or, even more simply: Click Start > click Run > enter: %APPDATA%\Notepad++

After entering %APPDATA%\Notepad++ in the run dialogue, a folder will open in front of you containing a stylers.xml file.  That is the file you need to replace with the Ruby Blue stylers.xml file.

      Hope this helps
