In the last version, if I had something highlighted, when I pressed ctrl-f or ctrl-h to open the dialog, what I had highlighted was automatically inserted in the first field. Would it be easy to add this functionality back in?

I initially had trouble with the find/replace defaults, too. I updated the plugins (Explorer 1.3 -- why didn't it come with the Notepad++ 4.1 installer? -- and Hex Editor 0.8.2). *I think* that's what fixed this problem. --Joel
