I was wondering if there is a way to permanently prevent notepad++ from underlining URLs. I've used the right click context menu, but it doesn't save between sessions, and re-underlines them if another file is opened.
Any help?

I just installed the new version of Notepad++ and also looking for a way to disable the URL functionality in Notepad++.
Hightlighting is very usefull, but I don't like other spiffy stuff in my texteditor. If I want that I would use MS Word :-P. (No serious, this function is slowing down Notepad++ and the hightlighting isn't working very well: My hyperlinks are sometimes colored as comments...).

I've asked one of the developpers about this issue and he said:
Unfortunately, there's no way to disable it.
I'll release soon v4.1.1 in which clickable url is optional.
So just be patient.
work around:
You can also leave the http:// off and it doesn't create the link, if that's an option for you. you can always and it back in later with find/replace.
