After severals (20 or more) searchs in files (recursive in directories with lot of files), memory usage is growing more and more. Finaly, i have to exit notepad++ and lunch it again because system is using swap (very slow).

I have the same problem.
After several search in files, My Memory Usage jumped up to 300+Meg.
I only have 4 small files open within NotePad++.
Other than that, NotePad++ is a great editor!
keep up the great work.

Try using the NppSearchInFiles plug-in and tell the results:

I have the same problem with the default find in files function, but that plugin seems to work like a charm
BTW, to open the NppSearchInFiles use CTRL+Q instead of CTRL+F
