I have chosen to use Notepad++ as a MS Notepad replacement, and it's working all right, save one thing: If I start up notepad++ without a file specified I do have no cursor. I first have to click into the text element to activate it. Is this a bug or a feature? Is there a way around it? When I open notepad++ I'd like to be able to write right away...
Cheers,
Wolfgang

There was a focus problem with versions of some plugins. Try using the latest from https://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins in the download section to see if that fixes the problem. --Joel

You're right, while installing I used the actual HexEditor plugin, instead of the HexEditor version, that comes with Notepad++. Now, using this "original" version, everything is all right.
Thanks for your help,
Wolfgang
