Notepad++ 4.02 is opening the last opened files for me. Go to the MISC tab on the Preferences dialog and make sure "Remember the current session for next launch" is checked. The Preferences dialog is opened via the Settings > Preferences menuitem.
You can also use "Save session" and "Load Session" on the File menu. --Joel

I preferred old behaviour, when notepad++ loaded last opened files when you load it without any specific file.
And if you loaded notepad++ with a specific file, it was opening only this file.
I'd like to see an option for that, but maybe nobody shares my mind ? :/
