I also like AWK very much and I have created userDefineLang.xml for AWK language. Maybe it does not contain all GAWK functions, but they can be added. You can contact me at dvv81 (at) ukr (dot) net.
By the way, awk95 was the first reason for me to implement NppExec plugin :-)

I'm looking for syntax highlighting for awk (gawk)! Is there - somewhere in the internet - already a ready defined language?
I am also looking for an AWK syntax highlighter, since I have found none. I will develop one and post for all to have.
