4.0.2 improper focus on entry

A very annoying bug/feature of 4.0.2 is that the edit window does not have focus when you activate the program (e.g. using Alt-Tab).

    To reproduce:

    1. Open Notepad++ 4.0.2
    2. type some text
    3. switch to another program
    4. alt-tab back to notepad++ (or use the task bar to activate it)
    5. continue typing
    6. nothing happens, because the edit field does not have focus; you first have to click inside the edit area with the mouse

Hope this can be fixed asap!

Yes, but this is the latest one and it solves many bugs, in any event the focus bug.

      Agreed.  This is very annoying.

I came to this forum now to see if others were having this problem or if it was just me.

Yep. There is a similar focus issue when performing a search:
      1. CTRL-F, enter search text and hit ENTER
      2. Although found text is highlighted, cursor keys cannot be used to move away from that location
      3. You have to click on the window to regain focus

Looks like some refactoring has gone bad ;-)

Hello! There are several posts regarding it! There is a new Explorer version which fixes this issue. Look on:

      http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins/

Bug reports do also on the new project side!

      Best Regards

Strangely enough, just the explorer version 1.2 beta 1 is shown in the download area:
