I am using Notepad++ since a few weeks for work. I was looking for a new editor, cause Eclipse was really buggy and (what i really not understand) very slow. It underlined my whole perl sourcecode yellow.
Yes, and now i am typing my sorucecode with the help of N++. So Good So Far. This Programm is really nice. But ;) i have some suggestions you maybe could advance in your next version.
-Reloading files who were modified by other programm
-After the dialogbox, which askes me if i want to reload this file, the cursor marks the text where i move it.
This seems to me like a bug ^^, i move the cursor to the meant file and has to click twice.
First click to disable this auto-mark-mode and second click to select the file.
-I think it would be better if this question only appears if i select the file which was modified. Because i often
look in some error log files, but not always. I just want to reload it, when i want to see it.
Maybe you could build a menu option or something like this to set it up. I assume there are people who like it the
way it is.
-Text Coloring
-You should know, i really like black. I want to have a black background with white textcolor and some nice red
syntax highlighting. In the company where i am, i use HTML, CSS, Perl, JavaScript and sometimes PHP. Now all the
work is done, but wouldn't it be possible to color the sourcecode much faster? That i only have to color the
settings once a time, and its this is the set for all kinds of supported codes.
Honestly i often had only to recolor the background. Mostly the font color was allright for white or black
background. To set a Generel Background would be very nice.
Okay, thank you for your time. You'll making it, i am sure =)
Sorry for my bad english, but thats not my native language.
Greetings,
Marcus
