I hope this has not been asked.. I am interested in a multi-line search and replace like that of EditPad/EditPadPro. Is there such a functionality like that in NotePad++?

  Both find/replace functions can do it, with limitations. Have a read of http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/newlineFindReplace-HOWTO.php if you can't get it to do what you want.
